"This unit was made to interface with other analog gear (like a modular, analog synth, drum machine, etc). You can process a signal through the unit and use the dual parametric EQs, ring mod (with either the built-in VCO or another modulation signal), overdrive (with two different modes, hard and soft) and even saturation on both the input and output stages. The VCO can be CV controlled so you could also use it with another synth (the VCO has it's own output so it can function seperate from the effects section). The Effexon is quite flexible to the point of being semi-modular. Nearly anything sounds good ran through the unit, especially drums."
