"Rene is a 16x2 sequencer with two gate busses, the stages of which can be addressed via clock pulses at one input in a variety of preset patterns in "snake mode", via two inputs (these can be either clocks, linear cv, or a combination thereof) specifying "coordinates" on a 4x4 grid, or simply by touching the associated contact directly. The mod inputs also allow for a variety of logic operations, as detailed in the manual (which you should read).Rene has four outputs, two for cv (one of which is tuned by a wonderfully interactive scale quantizer), and two for gates (or triggers in snake mode). Altogether this is a very deep tool for interactively rearranging sets of cv and gates with whatever lfos, clock sources, fingers, etc you have available."
