Shipping is not recommended. Too fragile.
i am selling my ancient custom built PAIA modular (all 70's/80's) named herbert. herbert is a real deal science fiction affair. ..a must have for any lab. the modules on this are extremely well built.. no rat's nest... or amateur solder hour. i recently had the power supply rebuilt/reworked by portland custom shop (here in sunny portland, or). my plan has been to restore this thing but life has been pulling me in other directions so she is up for grabs. all of this said, it needs some work... It is structurally quite fragile, has some cosmetic blemishes (although that is a huge part of the charm) and a couple of the modules do not fire up.
MAIN UNIT:
6 VCOS
2 VCFS
2 VCAS
a low freq osc
2 envelope generators
a patchable slider panel
1 bandpass filter
power supply panel w/ patch panel
1 envelope follower
1 inverter buffer
1 ring mod
a 4 channel mixer
an unused power supply panel
seq w/ transposer
keyboard w/ trigger, out, glide, pitch
EXPANSION BOX:
3 VCOS (different model than the others)
2 function generators
1 bandpass filter (unfinished)
1 sine/pwm
1 rad variable trigger
it has not seen much use in my possession and I have not tested every single function or panel.... I've used it for the sequencer, multiple oscillators, ring mod and one of the filters. the sequencer is GREAT!! like i said, the build is fragile.... i am not a modular dude so there are some things i do not know how to test... but regardless let me know if you'd like to check it out some time. While she is a fixer upper I feel like the price is not bad considering it's age, peculiarity and it's BUILT BY F'N HAND aspect. yow!
