"The little Mermaid" - on Yamaha HE-8

Published on Jul 14, 2014 organfairy

"This melody is kinda weird. It is one of the few melodies actually written for organ with automatic accompaniment. I am not sure but I think the composer - a Danish organ player named Peter Erling - played a Yamaha organ though on the album he poses with a Thomas.

The melody has a very mechanical foundation with a somewhat playfull arrangement on top. I made it into a MIDI file in order to get that mechanical feeling. Most of the sounds are from the Yamaha organ while the WAUW..............WAUW.............WAUW... sound is from the Roland JX-8P synthesizer."
