MOOGFEST SOUND LAB | Escort | Why Oh Why

Published on Sep 3, 2014 Moogfest

"Escort re-envisioned their song “Why Oh Why” by crafting 16 tracks of MIDI instrumentation in Digital Performer, distributed to 16 rack mount Moog Slim Phatty and Minimoog Voyager analog synthesizers. Escort founders, Dan Balis and Eugene Cho programmed the parts and manipulated the racked synths. Percussionist Dave Sharma employs a set of mesh drum triggers controlling 6 rack mounted Minimoog Voyagers. Lead vocalist Adeline Michéle, with backing vocalists, Karlie Bruce and Angelica Allen were processed through a Moog 500 Series Analog Delay."
