Oxygen IV Cover By PolyEvolver

"Having just got a few new additions to the studio, I thought I'd test them out and make a classic. Always good to hear this song from the Grandfather of synths Jean Michel Jarre. Hope you like it."

via James Mcculloch on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge:

"Ok I made this quickly this morning as a demo of what the System 1 and Novation Mini Nova can do together. heres a breakdown of the track.
Track 1:- Arpeggio made on SH2 plug out, used a saw and a square and a tiniest bit of filter.
track 2:- Bass line , SH2 plug out, 2 squares, no pwm, little filter but mostly closed.
track 3:- Lead SH2 plug out, 2 saws, slight detune, midrange filtering with native delay and reverb
track 4:- drums straight tom ultra beat in logic
track 5:- Jarre drum sound, Mini nova using a saw at incredibly low pitch and then HPF frequency gaffing until I got there.
track 6:- bridge strings, Mini nova, 3 saws with the attack slackened off a lot, took 2 filters running in series to get the airy sound
tracks 7:- Strings, MiniNova, there's no phaser effect so I had to stack saws and slightly detune, you can hear the detune in the track, i don't like it but i was in a hurry.
tracks 8:- Chorus lead was a sync patch i found on the mini nova, not much manipulation needed, again in a hurry
track 9+10:- white noise 1 on slow lfo sweep on mini nova, white noise 2 was the system 1 with a tight attack and slowish decay throughout the filter EG .
That's about it."
