TR8060 clone TR808 - first tests

"Expérimentations des noises sur les hats."

This is the first TR8060 post on the site. Some details via http://www.christian-hartig.de/TR-8060/:

"The TR-8060 is a DIY drum synthesizer which combines the sounds of the well known TR-808 and TR-606, based on the original circuit layouts from Roland. With many modification possibilities this machine can even sound like a CR-68 or TR-77 machine... analog lovers welcome ;-)

I have made a compact PCB based on the great work of microLARGE (Thank you man!)

What you need: just some resistors, caps, transistors, diodes, potentiometers, switches and some time on your hand :-)
I can tell you: If everything went right it will sound really great and what’s more important: it’s possible to build your own machine for under 350 euro!
This machine has no sequencer but you can add your own sequencer or MIDI to trigger converter or whatever you want! There are +5V trigger inputs plus accent trigger inputs for each instrument on the PCB.

The latest version 1.1.6 of the TR-8060 PCB has MIDI circuits onboard! I think this will make it more suitable for everyone... for example if you plan to put it in a 19 inch rackmount housing.
in this case the kits will come with a pre-programmed PIC.
The first PCBs are in production and once they’re good, we can start mass-production :-)
Yay!

You can play with values of polyester- and electrolytic caps, with other resistors or other potentiometers to give your machine your own unique sound. It’s pure analog and pretty stable, so play with it :)"

"another idea for a housing made from only one folded steelplate, for use with the cool Beat707 sequencer"
