"This is a 117 volt north american unit, not a japanese import. Early 12 bit model serial number 040157 I was told it could have been #157 off the production line, but I can't confirm it (never been able to decode roland's numbering system). All jupiter eights sound great, but vary slightly. The earlier ones tend to sound a little less precise, more 'fat'. I prefer the sound of the early ones. Ive owed three, and this is my favorite of those, it sounds lovely."
