"Extremely rare, complete, and sounds amazing. This one is under serial number 30 and was made in 1980. Lots of disks and documentation. I feel the Series one has the best sound of the pre III models. It has more punch and musical aliasing when you open up the filter. I have a set of Series one cards for my IIx and own a series III so I know these samplers extremely well. I will post a demonstration video in the next few days comparing it to the IIx. Software cannot come close and the sample disks I've heard don't capture the magic either.
I doubt you'll ever see a working, complete Series One like this ever. I cannot remember seeing one for sale in over a decade. The last one sold was a later II series.
It needs a good home. Not just a collector but someone that will take care of it, use it and pass it on to the next generation. This is a very reluctant sale. I'm moving so a lot of great gear has to go."
