Synthpinski

Published on Feb 15, 2015 wellurban

"Using the XOR mode of Doepfer's A189-1 Voltage-controlled Bit Modifier to turn a triangle wave into waveforms with self-similar patterns. When visualised in X/Y mode on an oscilloscope, the results are vaguely similar to the classic 'Sierpinski triangle' fractal pattern.

Oh, and the sound: more like a combination of hard sync, harmonic sweeps and fat super-saws than the normal bit-crusher effects."
