Two pics of the inside below.

"Made out of laser-cut silver acrylic, it features a decidedly retro 8-bit font face on the front panel. The engravings have been painstakingly filled with nacré white paint (with an added touch of yellow for the logo). The front panel is gently slanted for increased comfort and ease of use. Flat-top LEDs (in yellow and amber) have been used for a perfect “flat” finish of the front panel, and rubberized knobs provide a very pleasant touch. The LCD is a double-FSTN, LED-backlit negative amber-on-black one. Everything has been made to ensure no eyestrain and perfect legibility of the controls in all lighting conditions.

This quick description should already be a cause for excessive salivation, but there’s more! :D

Inside this beauty lie four MOS 8580 and four MOS 6581, each carefully selected and paired for optimal stereo results and overall balance. It gives you the best of both worlds! All components are high quality (Alps tactile switches and rotary encoders, Neutrik plugs, Bourns resistors, ST and Microchip ICs, Kingbright LEDs, etc), and sourced from single batches for consistency. The BC547 output transistors are even NOS! A silent fan is used, derated from its original 12V to ca. 7V for added quietness. Last but not least: the unit runs out of a single (universal) 12V DC power supply.

The case features no other screws than the ones used to fasten the circuit boards, and these are mounted flush. The bottom casing has been welded with acetone, while the front panel is held tight by suitably snug notches. All bolted parts feature locking washers to ensure a tight fit that will not loosen in time.

This machine has been built with great care, and is meant to last. It’s the result of several months of work, from the designing, prototyping, components sourcing, testing and selection (in particular the SIDs, which were singled from a larger number of candidates). It’s been such an amount of work that I will not build another one, as such, this is a unique piece."
