Mannequins Mangrove as chaotic LFO and sequencer
Published on May 13, 2015 wellurban
"Using the uTones mode and a negative CV offset, Mangrove can get down into LFO territory. This can produce interesting modulations in itself, as in the "Chaotic LFO" patch described in the manual, but running it through a quantiser also creates ever-changing chaotic sequences.
Since the frequency of the Formant output is always an integer division of the main frequency, and the Square output is unaffected by the uTone subdivision, the square output can be used to trigger the quantiser and/or an envelope in sync with the Formant's chaotic CV cycles."
