Cruise to the Edge Progressive Rock Cruise to Benefit The Bob Moog Foundation with Moog Synth Raffle
"The Bob Moog Foundation has been announced as the beneficiary organization for Cruise to the Edge, the progressive rock extravaganza taking place on the high seas November 15-19, 2015. In an effort to assist the educational and historic preservation projects of the Foundation, the cruise will offer a raffle for an iconic Moog synthesizer signed by many artists on board as well as holding a silent auction replete with unique Moog-related items."
"Historian Thom Holmes is back with a fascinating exploration of some of the rarest recordings ever created on a Moog modular synthesizer. Covering a range of musicians from Dick Hyman to the Earthquakes, from Mort Garson to Paul Bley and Annette Peacock, from Bo Hansson to LaMonte Young, and more, Holmes delves deep into recording obscura.
He also asks for your help in completing his list of the rarest Moog modular recordings of all times. Check out his criteria and let him know if you have any odd gems to add!"
"RadHaus US, an independent audiophile label, recently released a compilation of five hours ambient electronic music to honor Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream, pioneer of Berlin school electronica, who passed away suddenly on January 20, 2015.
All proceeds from the project are being donated to the Bob Moog Foundation to benefit Dr. Bob's SoundSchool."
