Yamaha REFACE DX VS DX7

Note the reface DX is a 4 Op FM synth like the Yamaha DX-100 and TX-817 while the DX7 is a more powerful 6 Op FM synth. The FS1R rack steps it up to 8 Op and adds Formant synthesis. If you are not familiar with operators, think of them as oscillators that can be arrange in different patterns of feedback to each other for frequency modulation, the FM in FM synthesis.
