"Got a chance to play with the Boutique range from Roland this afternoon along with all Aira range. The Roland JP-08, Roland JU-06 and the JX-03 are all really capable little synths and great remakes of the old classics. Could not believe the sound coming through the studio monitors from these little boxes.

The Roland Boutique range was plugged into the Roland MX-1 along with all the other recent Roland Aira gear. The Roland TR-8 was providing the drums. The MX-1 has some awesome effects (and beat effects) that can be thrown into the mix either on the output or on individual channels. The Roland TB-3 is more than capable of beautiful basslines reminiscent of the old Roland TB-303.

We got a little taste of the Aira Modular pieces. Didn't get to hear the System-1m but had sends from the Roland MX-1 going through the programmable effects units the Roland Bitrazer, Roland Demora, Roland Scooper and the Roland Torcido.

Thanks to Dan from Roland for showing us everything and putting up with a number of synths being played with at the same time. His poor ears.

This video was filmed in my iPhone so apologies for the poor quality audio but it gives you a good idea of what these new Boutique boxes are capable of.

I will post more shorter videos on my Instagram account. Search for stme.music on Instagram.

Thoroughly recommend the Roland Boutique range. Well made and sound better than you would ever believe."
