Roland JP-08 vs Roland Jupiter-8

Published on Oct 6, 2015 MrFirechild

"The legendary JUPITER-8 synth is back as a very cute module , the JP-08. However lets listen to the iconic original Jupiter-8 in a very rare presentation , in the way we all synth nerds want a Youtube demo video. NO FX , NO EQ and NO COMPRESSION just the synths outputs straight in to high quality AD converters ! Here we go !"

  1. More than misleading, outright false.

  2. I think it's because it's a Part 1 video. It looks like it was added in the title. When I post videos I always post the original title, with rare exception. The reason is threefold. One, it's how the person that created it put it up. Two, it makes it easier to search for later to see if it already went up. Three, it doesn't really matter - the content is what matters in the end. Regardless if the title was originally misleading, it was clarified in the description and it was a fine demo. I am curious how the JP-08 will compare. The Jupiter-8 sounds amazing in person. The Juno-106 and JX-3P sound great for what they are but a likely more easily emulated.
