Synths in the Jungle (Siel DK-600)
"Here we have the first in the series of 'SYNTHMAN'. The SYNTHMAN instrumentals are basically meant to be dedicated synthesizer demos. 'Dedicated' in terms of only one synth being utilized for the piece. (not including drums & percussion parts)
For this first piece, I have exclusively used the rare and obscure Italian-made analog DCO synth, the SIEL DK-600.
The DK-600 was released in 1984 and featured two DCO's and 6 analog voices paired with SSM filter chips (yay!) and envelopes.
This synth also sported 3 lfo's, and PWM.
Reportedly only about 2,000 of them were made.
Stay tuned for more SYNTHMAN demos of other synths at Spazzoid Studio, NYC.
