Rephazer - OP-1 REC #1 (Teenage Engineering OP-1)

Published on Nov 12, 2015 Rephazer

"Hi All,

So as I've already stated in my previous video (Battle for Harmony) I would upload some 'un-enhanced' OP-1 stuff and after jamming on my OP-1 yesterday evening I recorded these 2 tracks on the OP-1 'Recorder.'

Today I listened to the 2 tracks again and was thinking if I should give it the same 'treatment' as Battle for Harmony, but decided to leave the tracks as is.. so these are raw exported from the OP-1.

Maybe it's not the 'Rephazer Quality' you are expecting and it's a bit minimal, but I just like the lo-fi, noisy, 12-bit like, dark and cold tones out of this device.. It gives me the chills in a good way :)

I hope you'll also enjoy it !
I'll probably make more of these raw 'OP-1 Records' in the near future.

Thanks for listening/watching and please feel free to leave comments."

Rephazer - OP-1 REC #2 (Live Jam on Teenage Engineering OP-1)

"Hi all, We have quite some muggy weather here in Holland so I am not really sitting in my little studio these days.. Instead I am doing some Lo-Fi and Glitchy jamming on my OP-1 outside which is great fun actually so I am happy that I got the OP-1 again.

This is a live jam of 2 tracks recorded straight to the 'OP-1 record' and exported afterwards to mix it with the (boring) video and outside noise from my Phone... Take 1 is probably most interesting regarding the video :)

Anyway, it's probably not the usual quality that you may expect and there are some nasty mistakes in this jam, but I just like to do this kind of lo-fi and glitchy stuff from time to time so I thought I would share it anyway..

The (very lo-fi) blues vocals on the first track 'Catfish' are from David Honeyboy Edwards so all rights regarding the vocals belong to their respective owners."
