120bpm melodic techno from the Eurorack modular.

Published on Dec 22, 2015 Luke Killen

"Probably my last video for the year. I'm making some 120bpm techno with the Eurorack Modular.
The hat like part is the bandpass output from a Epoch Benjolin. both VCO A and B are being modulated. VCO A by a channel of Maths and VCO B by a Z8000 The filter cutoff has a little modulation too by a LFO 8/2. The Maths rise and fall is being modulated by an LFO each too. the VCA is Voltage controlled by another channel of the Maths and it rise and fall are being modulated slightly by an LFO and a 4ms PEG in cycle mode. There is a snare that is a Mutable instuments, Peaks set to sound like a snare and then put through a band pass Filter (uVCF) that is being modulated by a short EG and an LFO. The bass is a WMD/SSF Spectrum with it's own sub oscillator modulating it's PWM and then filtered through a Sputnik Quad VCF/VCA. envelope provided by Maths for both amplitude on one channel set to VCA and another (attenuated) channel set to VCF. Kick is a Basimilus Iteratus with a really short envelope going to the pitch input from a Frequency central System X envelope. Chords are a Braid set to WTX4 mode running through a mildly overdriven Manhattan analog SVVCF. The SVVCF has one channel of a 4ms peg working like an LFO and a Tiptop Z4000 working a VCA and the filter cutoff. Some channels have reverb and or Delay applied in real-time on the way into the DAW."
