Fall in Love with my Modular (J.Dilla Theme)

Fall in Love with my Modular (J.Dilla Theme) from Andras Eichstaedt on Vimeo.

"Some afternoon impro based on the Fall in Love theme by J.Dilla - also adopted by Flying Lotus. All sounds are mixed in the Modular and recorded via an Akai z4 Sampler in 24bit 96khz stereo. The kickdrum and high-hats are from Mutable Instruments Peaks, snare is from the ladik D-333 Rom Player, the glitchy percussions are pre-recorded modular made sounds from Bastl Instruments GardPa. The kick and snaredrum are triggered by the "end of rise" (EOR) and "end of cycle" (EOC) outputs of a Makenoise Function. All other percussive sounds are triggered by the 4ms SCM (Shuffling Clock Multiplier). The Beat is sent through a DIY distortion/crusher box designed by my cousin Polyklinik. After that the beat is sent through the Roland Scooper that i occasionally use to create scatter effects. Bastl Instruments SKIS is used as a VCA and Envelope for all melodic sounds. I play the lead melody with a QuNexus from Keith McMillen."
