"Phil Clendeninn from Yamaha interviewed on NPR in April 1994 about the brand new Yamaha VL1 physical modeling technology. I have lusted after the VL-1 ever since I became aware of it. The lure of combining physically modeled portions of different instruments, and the ability of mathematically modeling realistic sound physics, in real time, is very appealing to me.
