"Own a piece of synth history with the rare Jen SM2007 String Machine.
The String Ensemble is one of the earliest and unique string machines of the mid 70s
like the ARP Solina, Logan String Melody, Roland VP330 and others.
The Jen SM2007 was bought and rebranded by the Thomas Organ Company as the VOX String Thing.
Eventually this original technology was acquired by Crumar and eventually ARP, but very little is known about
this rare Italian analogue machine.
GForce Software, famous for their emulations of vintage synths in plug in format like the ARP Oddity, ARP2600, ImpOscar and
many others, have also created an emulation of the JEN SM2007 in their Virtual String Machine Expansion Pack.
This is the grand daddy of all string synths of 70's and 80's. Once you play it you will see how lush the sound is of the string ensemble.
The synth has organ section, violin, viola, and cello, and ensemble for all of the sections with auto or manual sustain and attack.
You can also adjust the tone of the sound from thin to rich and warm.
All keys work perfectly as well as the selector buttons.
The sliders aren't as smooth as they used to be but they are fully operational with no crackling.
The wood panels have some dings and the main body shows signs of age.
See the photos."

Is this unit now sold? I am looking for an SM 2007
