"You are bidding on a Moog Mini-Moog model D. This one has a serial number of 49xx and was built in 1973. It has the middle (rev. 2) oscillator board.

This particular instrument has been thoroughly shopped and cleaned, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a nicer one for sale on eBay or anywhere else. Check out the list of what all was done to bring this beautiful instrument back - as closely as possible - to its former glory:

Electrical/mechanical: Cleaned up after 30 years of incorrect repairs, including:

rebuilt the keyboard assembly: cleaned buss bars, replaced broken keys, removed and scrubbed all key-tops, replaced key bushings, re-leveled keybed
replaced 10 front panel pots
replaced dead pilot light
replaced original power cord with new grounded one
replaced all electrolytic caps and selected tantalum ones
replaced jack hardware where tarnished
replaced buffer board 741 op-amps with TL071’s
eliminated op-amp sockets on oscillator board
installed pitch wheel dead-band mod
installed precision matched resistors on oscillator board
polished male Cinch-jones connectors
polished PC board edge connectors
tightened down all front panel knobs
performed complete burn-in, shake test, and calibration

Cosmetic:

stripped and refinished cabinet
removed and cleaned all knobs, wheels, and misc. hardware
replaced bubbling front panel with new anodized aluminum one
replaced missing front panel badge with new one

Outstanding issues: In the interest of full disclosure, here's what's still not perfect with the instrument, as accurately as we can describe:

The rocker switch plastics show signs of UV and/or a smoker's fingers discoloration
There is a crack in the wood header above the control panel on the right hand side. Also the wood header is slightly loose; given the option of filling in the holes and re-drilling or keeping it original, it was decided to keep it original. Please refer to the pictures.
There is a tiny gouge in the wood on the right-hand side, and surface marks on the wood on the left-hand side. Please refer to the pictures.
There is a small dull patch in the finish on the top of the wood runner above the keybed. At some point someone patched a hole in the wood, and the new stain would not take.
The original badge on the back is plastic; the new one on the front is metal but in the identical style.
The Overload and Pilot light flanges sit off the front panel by approx. 1mm.
There are three dots underneath the high C key which didn't scrub off.
The mixer, volume, and headphone pots are still occasionally scratchy. Given the choice of staying original or replacing them, we decided to stay with the originals.

The unit will ship in its custom-built Georgia Cases ATA-spec flight case."
