That's one expensive synth.

"Here is a fantastic Yamaha CS80 with midi kit installed. The CS80 is in a league of its own, with naturally detuning oscillators that add a richness and mass that is unmistakably CS80. Famously used on the Blade Runner soundtrack, and by Brian Eno, Daft Punk, Genesis and Toto, the CS80 is capable of a ridiculous amount of sounds. This synth has had the power supply rebuilt, is impeccably maintained and tuned, has original case and stand, original printed tech, tuning and operation manuals, and is remarkably clean for its age."

  1. I guess the rationale is that if enthusiasts can afford that much for a Schmidt, they'd be willing to pay the same amount for a legend like the CS-80. We are reaching critical mass for the market though, unless it is eventually proven that these things are worth $1,000,000 someday. Which I doubt. Still, I would not have ever predicted $20,000, so I know nothing.

  2. They never don't sell, so there's a market, and those who would buy, would take it over the Schmidt easily.
