Tiergrinder - Ensoniq EPS (demo track)

Published on Jul 1, 2016 tiergrinder

"Here is a quick demo track that I did with my latest purchase, the Ensoniq EPS sampler keyboard.

I've wanted to get my hands on Ensoniq gear for quite some time now and ESQ-1 has been on my wish list for a long time. While looking for an ESQ-1 I came across with this lovely EPS and I just had to have it. Sampler from 1989 isn't practical in any way by todays standards, but there is something special in these old samplers.

I got the EPS mainly so I can sampl mono anolog and VST synths and drum samples to it, and play those sounds back out through its filters and D/A converters. I've had the EPS just couple days with me, but even after such an short period I have to say, I love the sound, filters and modulation possibilities this baby gives.

Thanks for watching!

Demo tracks chord progression and bass line is based on Mitch Murders track Heading South. Rest of the parts I just improvised on top of the bassline and chords."
