DreamsOfWires - AJH Mini Mod 'Moog days revisited'

Published on Oct 7, 2016 DreamsOfWires

"A re-recording of a video I originally made using the Moog Slim Phatty a couple of years ago. I thought it'd be fun to try it with some authentic Minimoog sounds using 3 oscillators. In the original recording I used a very dense Eventide Space patch, which was almost like an instrument in itself (albeit a rather nice one), and so it added a lot to the sound that wasn't really there to begin with. Unfortunately, I sold that some time ago, so this time I'm using Kymatica's AUFX:DUB and Virsyn's Audio Reverb within AUM on an iPad - In this version the effects are a little more modest so that you can hear the true sound of the synth better. I first recorded the track dry into a separate channel, then used the fileplayer to send the recording through the effects so that I could experiment with different settings and levels, then record a mix once I was happy with it (which you can see in the top-left of the video).
The video is far from what I wanted it to be, but my PC has almost completely died over the last couple weeks, so editing was near impossible. I'll have to get a new CPU and motherboard soon I guess.
The original track is on my album here: https://tomorrowthecure.bandcamp.com/..."
