Live improvisation on Tokarev Protosynth V1 + V2 + compressor prototype + LP filter
Published on Oct 24, 2016 Konstantin T
"Live improvisation design test session on my Tokarev Protosynth V1 and V2 prototype connected through a digital dynamic range compressor prototype that I built based on the TAS3002 integrated circuit. Compressor output goes through an optically controllable frequency low pass filter and finally recorded to computer. MIDI notes are sent from FL Studio on separate MIDI channels for both V1 and V2 synths. Drums sequenced on FL Studio.
The V2 synthesizer features separate DAC bit outputs which are connected to an analog source selector. Selection of the output is synchronized to MIDI clock coming from FL Studio. Some details are yet to be done in the clock synchronization timing selection so that it always synchronizes from first beat."
