"The Alesis Andromeda is far and away from any other analog synthesizer you've likely played. The designers went bonkers loading up on features:
16 analog voices
Oscillators derived from the Moog Modular 921 Module
Two filters per voice: Moog ladder and Oberheim SEM
Arpeggiator and Sequencer
Looping multi-stage envelopes with user defined curves
Ring Mod, Filter Feedback, and FM capability.
Three LFOs plus Sample-Hold
Built-in digital effects section

And that's just scratching the surface. If you're looking at this you're probably aware of the staggering sonic prowess this instrument is capable. Beginners should be warned - programming this synth is deep and immersive. Andromeda may not be for everyone. You may begin to feel some side effects: sleep deprivation, sudden inexplicable loss of time and missing appointments, difficulty breathing, skipping meals, excitability and rapid heart-rate. If you experience arousal for more than four hours, call your immediate supervisor and request some time off this week.

The red version is functionally identical to the blue versions, a purely cosmetic discussion. However the red face overlay is a limited edition that was manufactured prior to Alesis getting involved with Numark."
