"Lots of semi modular synths - such as the popular Moog Mother-32 - have only one VCO. A popular addition to these is a second VCO. But have you considered a waveform animation module as an alternative? In this video I demonstrate both approaches, and cover some side issues like the need to have an inverting mixer in your system, and the advantages of having a more capable MIDI to CV converter than may be built into your semi modular synth.
