Fantastic analog sound that you just can’t get anywhere else, with genuine discrete VCOs and a state-variable analog filter, coupled to analog distortion and digital effects, a sequencer and arpeggiator, and a quality keyboard with velocity and pressure sensitivity.I made new solid wood end-pieces for this synth out of figured maple, dyed black and finished with glossy de-waxed shellac for maximum chatoyance.
The only thing stopping me from describing this synth as “mint” is that it suffered one minor drop from waist height onto carpeting (and my foot). One of the original wood ends cracked, and there are a few small scuffs under the mod wheel housing. (See photo.) The chassis is otherwise unharmed, all controls work and feel like new, and the synth sounds and functions perfectly."
