"This OSCar is 100% fully functional and was serviced in 2007. This one does not have midi. Cosmetically it's in nice shape. Be sure to check out the detailed pictures to make sure you like it. The only thing to mention is it has a faint cigarette-smoke smell, mostly you can tell if you put your nose right up touching the unit. I just want to be completely upfront about that, but it doesn't smell too bad. Years ago it must have been in a smoke studio, but under my ownership I have kept it in my smoke free studio and it's always performed as it should. Operates at 220v so in the USA you'll need a transformer, but I can provide one for free if needed.

The OSCar sounds AMAZING with unique sound unlike any synth made. It has a huge set of features for the time, including programmable harmonic waveforms, patch memory, sequencer, an awesome arpeggiator, duophonic capabilities (yes you can play two notes at once) along with one of the best filters I have ever played, allowing for LP, BP, HP, overdrive capabilities. Huge bass, leads, effects unlike anything else. One of my favorite monophonic synthesizers of all time, & I've played them all, from Minimoogs to Arp Odysseys to Synton Syrinx. If I had to describe the sound I would say it's instant Boards of Canada, smooth, bubbly, analog with an aggressive Aphex Twin side that can get gritty & rough. These Oscars rarely show up for sale, maybe only once or twice a year. I also have a demo video available, message me if interested."
