Just Like We Never Said Goodbye (SOPHIE cover, 80s edition) | Deerful

"I've gone full 80s, including VHS filter, and I'm not sorry. Couldn't get the vocals right so I overdubbed them, also not sorry. I think this is the most fun I've ever had covering something. More info under here.

Original song here, SOPHIE is a genius and I basically ruined all the experimentalism and eeriness of the original. Sorry.

You know I've got an album out, right?

The device I'm playing is a Novation Circuit. All sounds are from Yves Big City's Delorean Dream pack which is a TREASURE -

USUALLY I record sending a USB cardioid mic into Ableton, track muted; circuit into iRig Pro into Ableton, track soloed but very low volume so I can hear it enough to sing with but there's not much bleed into the mic and I can mix them separately. I don't like singing with headphones. For this, however, the Circuit performance is live but I recorded the vocals separately because I couldn't get 'em right. I'm not a purist. I know a lot of you lot are.
