""The Multimoog was the big brother to the Micromoog. It's a classic monophonic synth that features 2 oscillators, a ribbon controller, variable waveforms, flexible sample and hold, LFO, aftertouch (for pitch, VCF, or LFO rate) and a great sounding 24dB Moog filter."

It has been confirmed to be an early model, as the only schematics printed by Moog have been based on later revisions of the keyboard. It was noticeable when I compared the circuitry and overall internal design to my friends "newer" Multimoog. There is a detachable molded plastic guide under the key bed that has been redesigned in newer models to be one whole piece, the circuitry is different, and the ribbon controller was also different in mine.

This has been professionally serviced by a tech of mine who runs sound and techs for The Rolling Stones. All moving parts (pots, switches, etc.) have been flushed, cleaned and/or replaced. Ribbon controller was repaired (near impossible to find replacements). Mostly everything was recalibrated, more on that below.

One disclaimer, the A oscillator does not 100% track the B oscillator. I would have my tech fix it but I may not see him for several months, and if I left it with him, I may not see the keyboard for several months either. He, as well as other techs, confirm this isn't a difficult fix for anyone knowledgeable, so don't let this be a deal breaker, just needs calibration. That being said, this lends for some crazy sound options as is, but by turning down the A osc., you can still create great leads and bass tones with the B osc. Also, one knob has been replaced with a generic black knob, it functions exactly the same, but it doesn't match the other knobs in appearance.

This thing sounds raw, fat, and synthy in all the right places. I am very sad to let this go but I bought other keyboards for my job and need to sell something from the collection to pay off my debt. Good luck bidding and enjoy it as much as I did!"
