"This is the King of Synthesisers and now extremely rare and sought after, which is reflected in the price. I was doing Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence with David Bowie and asked him which synth I should buy. Without a pause, he said 'A Roland Jupiter 8'. So I bought it - and hardly used it because really, I preferred the piano. So here it is, unmarked, covered and stored in my house for many years. As far as I know it's in perfect condition but I'm not an expert."

Curious who this is. Ryuichi Sakamoto did the soundtrack, but he was part of Yellow Magic Orchestra and definitely into synths. You wouldn't think he'd ask that question. David Sylvian of Japan contributed lyrics and did the vocals on the track "Forbidden Colours". This Jupiter-8 is in London. Not sure where either currently resides, but Sakamoto is from Japan and Sylvian is from the UK.
