"1982 Realistic Concertmate MG-1 analog synthesizer. This synth was manufactured by Moog Music and sold at Radio Shack in the early 80s and is one of the coolest little synths I’ve had on my bench. Not only does it have that classic Moog dual-oscillator monosynth sound, but there is also a nifty polyphonic function consisting of a divide down circuit letting the user play the synth polyphonically. This synth has had a full service - every slider has been cleaned or replaced if needed, one of the MM5823N divider chips was replaced, a 2n3906 transistor was replaced in the first oscillator. Also, the synth received a full recap using high quality Nichicon electrolytic capacitors. I performed a couple standard mods and changed the RCA out to a normal 1/4” jack along with increasing the overall output volume. The nasty ass foam protecting the sliders has been cleaned off and replaced, along with new knobs and slider caps. All keys were removed and polished. This synth looks lovely and will sound beautiful for years to come. Cosmetically speaking, it looks pretty good overall and has a few cracks in the overlay, also a few flecks of what seems to be white paint. Other than that, it’s quite pretty for a synth this age. $650."
