Gristling Throb - Solo Novation Summit going through its Bi-Timbral Paces - Multi patch -CALC- Jam

Published on Jul 29, 2019 -CALC-

"I was lucky enough to get a handful of my multi patches alongside the other amazing presets for the Novation Summit and this came up while jamming on one of them.

I called this patch "Gristling Throb" for no reason other than I found the name funny and this kind of throbs in a gristling way (and I dont even know what that means). You know.... like you do when naming presets.

Part A is a strange and quite wild self generative patch with heavy use of FMing Osc 3 (set to a wavetable) into Osc 1 and the filter.

Part B is where the music is happening and it was simply a few chords strung together that I liked the sound of.
This is all played all live and it was one of those "in the moment" kind of things half way through an extended jam. But luckily the camera was rolling.

A lot of soundscaping is done with the Mod wheel and the Animate switches on Part B.
This is Summit only, once again the rest of the gear is sitting quite dormant, this was the part of the jam when no clock was running and free play was the order of the day."
