Testing Lo-Fi Diy Plate Reverb with Cymbal & Contact Mic Ft Novation Circuit Synth & Drum Machine

"I was curious to test this Lo-fi Diy Plate reverb technique , so here we are

For this I use a Speaker under the cymbal to excite it, and use the contact mic to record the result, to control the volume of the speaker I use one Aux of my Mixer.

After few tests I feel that the reverb can be too long and high for some percussions, but can be useful on some synth or sound design it can also be a nice layer on Drone Music .May be I ll use this technique on dub part or techno tracks but with sidechain and more heavy EQ on it. I also think to try this with different cymbals to listen to result."
