Moog Model D Improvisation by Shook

Published on Dec 11, 2019 shookmusic

"I am working on a new way to perform live. I like this minimal approach, just one synth maybe some effects, a drum computer and maybe for some songs some backing tracks (because I won't be touring with a band yet).
What do you think?

No midi was used and no overdubs. Just one take.

The Model D re-issue has the benefit of modulating the filter cutoff with velocity for more expressive playing.

In the second part of the improvisation I got a little bit carried away, and it wen't to a more dark / funky direction.

Minimoog Model D + Juno 60 synth jam

Published on Dec 16, 2019 shookmusic

"I love the Moog Model D (reissue) for it's bass and leads.
Today it's joined with the classic Roland Juno 60 with classic chorus enabled. Later in the video the Moog Model D becomes the lead synth and I enabled the EHX Memoryman delay.

Drums were edited in post and some compression and Valhalla Vintage Verb was used. All synth parts were live unedited, no over dubs or midi used.

Thanks all for your lovely comments and support. Will try to keep you posted about my progress in live performing again with these little videos. You support means a lot to me. It is truly appreciated..! Much love, -J"
