"This video shows how to use a Raspberry PI as a USB MIDI host. If you're in a hurry, the important stuff is at 03:16 . ;-) No table of contents needed this time. A USB MIDI host is a device which takes MIDI signals over USB and routes them to other (5-Pin) MIDI outputs. This video shows the shell commands needed to get that running and how to make this permanent, to your RasPi will always act as a MIDI host, even after rebooting.
