Pi Day 2020
Published on Mar 14, 2020 CatSynth TV
"Today we celebrate Pi Day! (3-14, at least in the US)
We particularly enjoy the more esoteric aspects of π, such as its connection to the famous Basel Problem as described in this video. We also use the digits of π to create the music in the background and show how it was put together using Euterpea/Haskell, Pro Tools, and Arturia Pigments with a special 10-note tuning for the digits.
The "Digits" library used to extract the digits of π as a arbitrary-length list of integers in Haskell is available as an open source library https://github.com/catsynth/digits.
Euterpea, the library used to generate and manipulate musical elements in Haskell can be found at http://euterpea.com/"
