KD-1, from JMTSynth, is a drum-like desktop unit that can be physically hit or triggered via external source in order to gate external signals. External signals can be introduced and bypassed, allowing users to use the unit to dynamically control incoming signals: percussively gate guitars, external oscillators, or better yet—another JMT synthesizer.
