Moog Semi-Modular Synthesizers: Interconnectivity IV

Moog Music Inc

"Six instruments from the Moog semi-modular family of analog synthesizers (Matriarch, Grandmother, Mother-32, 2x DFAM, and Subharmonicon) connect together showing their strength as an interconnected system.

In this patch, Subharmonicon serves as a master clock, distributing sync signals to the Matriarch, Grandmother, Mother-32, and two DFAMs. The patch begins with the Subharmonicon playing a slow-moving chord progression, processed through Grandmother’s spring reverb. The first DFAM plays a dynamic high hat pattern, while the second DFAM provides a kick and snare to anchor the composition. Mother-32 generates a straightforward bass line, while its assignable output randomly controls the depth of envelope modulation routed to its filter. Matriarch provides a pad to fill in the mix, with a touch of vibrato from the modulation section, as well as some analog delay. Finally, Grandmother rounds things out with a simple counter melody to tie the composition together."
