You can find a demo video of this auctual synth here.

"The T2000 was sold only in kit form and this unit has been very well constructed (see interior photo) with a nice style of large knurled control knobs chosen, and unusually a small Roland style knob added to what is usually just the stump of a potentiometer for overall tuning.

Although this unit has never been anywhere near Martin Hannett or any member of Joy Division or New Order AFAIK, it was the unit featured in the book "Analog Synthesizers" (2nd Edition 2019, pp. 364-5) and for many sounds on the CD "Sequencer Loops" (2002) by Mark Jenkins of which a brand new copy is included.

SPECS -

The T2000 seems simple but is surprisingly versatile. It has a single oscillator transposing up or down two octaves, filter switchable from LP to BP, two four-stage envelopes, White Noise and an LFO.

But here's where you come to features not even found on a MiniMoog. Envelope Bypass for creating drone sounds - Repeat envelope at the speed of the LFO, auto or only when a key is held - Random Modulation of pitch and filter at the speed of the LFO - Oscillator shape continuously variable from Triangle to Saw as well as from Square to Thin Pulse - Pulse Width Modulation from the LFO.

These features make the T2000 well suited to creating all manner of sounds from leads and basses to surf and wind sounds, water droplets, Tim Blake and Jean-Michel Jarre style abstract noises and much more.

As well as CV and Gate In and Out, making it an ideal companion for a sequencer or modular system, the T2000 has an audio input through the filter, and an input for the included filter controller pedal.

THIS UNIT -

This unit was last recorded in 2002 for abstract sounds on the CD "Sequencer Loops" of which a new copy is included. Since then it has been in clean dry storage along with several other instruments.

It has emerged in about 80% working condition. It sometimes powers on only after a couple of minutes warming up. The oscillator sound and all waveshapes are present. The waveshape selector switch is loose but works.

The HP/LP filter works and fully resonates as it should - VERY LOUDLY!!!!!!

LFO, Envelopes, Repeat and Glide work. White Noise is intermittent, and as a result so is random modulation.

Three or four slide switches are extremely stiff and hard to use. The Filter In socket has a missing screw cap which I'll replace before sale.

Internally very clean, well constructed and in great condition. The keyboard uses dual wire contacts which are in good condition. A few keys are fitted with a short spline to even up the keyboard action, one or two are loose and are included, you'll probably want to review all of these.

Wooden end cheeks in good condition, you could buff, stain and polish them as they're real wood."
