The Alan Parsons Project - Sirius (1982) Cover - KOSmusic Extended Version

This is my extended version of a great instrumental classic from the 80s: Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project.

The original version of this track is an introduction to the song "Eye in the Sky" and was also used as background music in the NBA for the entry into the field of the Chicago Bulls in the 90s at the time of the legendary Michael Jordan! Furthermore, here in Italy, it was used for the final scene of the movie 'Lui รจ Peggio di Me' of the 1985 with Adriano Celentano and Renato Pozzetto.

I have always found this music so suggestive and powerful with its strong guitar/piano hits and its unmistakable melody. When I finished the first part of this track, I thought it would be interesting to try to do an extended version. I have chosen to keep its original features, managing the various instruments in order to maintain the structure that we all know very well. I only added some little guitar riffs with delay to enrich the second part of the track in David Gilmour-style of the "Pink Floyd".

As for the main sound, I chose a preset from the CS1x (Clavi_008) because I really liked its bright sound and that's what suited my version best. The sound of the strings also comes from the CS1x (Octavia_104). Since the CS1x keyboard has only 61 keys, in order to play the lowest notes of the piano in the video, I had to lower my synth by 2 octaves.

I hope you like this version :)"

  1. Also played in "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs" to signify the hero's triumph before it all went wrong, but maybe nobody wanted to mention anything that silly here. As if a sport team glorifying themselves through association with Alan Parsons's music wasn't silly. Alan Parsons doesn't care, as long as the check doesn't bounce.

  2. Kosmusic for best performances!!!! Played from the heart and absolute dedication to his work (from SynthGrooves YouTube channel)
