"Here is a quick rough demo of 'To The Bridge' by Giorgio Moroder from the movie Cat People (1982). It was completely made on the JD-Xi as a challenge to myself, and I forgot to finish it. Here is the final version after deciding it was 'good enough'. :-) I had fun making it. It’s just a portion of the entire song, and I added a few embellishments."

It was completely made on the JD-Xi as a challenge to myself, and I forgot to finish it. Here is the final version after deciding it was 'good enough'. :-) I had fun making it. It’s just a portion of the entire song, and I added a few embellishments."

I definitely hear it & see it as a chase scene in a movie. Either on foot or in a car. Two guys who are friends. Like a buddy movie. Across a desert road with just a semi coming the other way while several cop cars with no lights on because there's no traffic following. The driver keeps glancing @ his rear-view mirros, first the side mirror & then the other one. The guy in the passenger seat keeps turning his head to look back & every now & then tosses a wad of money out the window as we watch it fly throgh the air & off to the side of the road. Then he's laughing and the driver says something like
ReplyDelete"What's with that? They're not gonna stop for that money." "Yeah, but they'll think we're nuts." "Well, duh." And then the scene goes back to them robbing an atm machine using an iPhone to get the maximum money each time, using a different card each time unbtil all the money available is gone. The sun is just coming up as they get in the car and head west, with a wave to a cop sitting in his patrol car parked @ a gas staion across sthe street, eating a doughnut the size of a steering wheel. And as they turn right out of the parking lot, the driver shouts, "Morning officer. Have a good day." All very cliched, but the video/movie is intened for say males 18-24 who can identify with gthe chacters. For some reason there's a rabbit in the back seat eating a carrot. That's for the 5 to 12-year olds. And, of couurse, somewhere before they reach the desert road there's a woman - about 80 - with her thumb out. And of course they stop & she gets in the front seat after seeing the rabbit in the back, so there are now the tree of them in the front seat, passing back & forth a quart of Jack Daniel's whiskey. The old woman says, "I see you have a rabbit in the back seat. I've been hitch hikin' since i was 15 and i never seen a rabbit in theh back seat." "Well, lady," says the driver, it's our first time too. We're delivering it top my nephew who's in the psyche ward just a ways down this road to Nowhere, Nevada." "ZoI'm goin'' nowhere? I never been to nowhere." "Well," says the driver, here's the first time for everythinmg, as that old saying goes." "Oh, I know a lot of old sayings," she says. "Yeah, says the guy next to her, "I bet you do," begins throwing money into the back seat."
"What's that for?" she says. "It's for the rabbit. he's gotta have his greens too." And they continue their 120 mph escape west, listening to this track...up until the track begins, there's only the sound of the engine & them talking...and that's as far as I've gotten since hearing the first 5 seconds or so and then seeing this sequence in my head.
