LED Matrix sync with DIY modular Synthesizer - [YMNK's DIY synths adventures]
video upload by YMNK
"This is a really small demo about something I've been working on the past few weeks.
This is 16*64 programmable LED matrix that can be synced by CV Gate or by MIDI.
The entire display contains 2x 16*32 LED matrix from Adafruit ( https://www.adafruit.com/product/420 ), 2 Arduino Unos and some electronic to make all this mess understanding CV gate or MIDI messages.
The images/animations have been hardcoded by myself on the arduinos (the code is here : https://github.com/alexiszbik/liveled... ... but I still have to add the schematics ...) ... and it is really difficult to fit a lot of animations in such a tiny memory. But it is a nice challenge!
I use the display for my third official gig as YMNK in Roubaix, France at La Condition Publique. Everything worked perfectly so, I'm very happy about it! Still I want to make more animation now! I've some videos, I should probably upload them in the next few days!"
