Update: this is not the pre-cursor to the GX-1. That would be the "EX-42 (1970–1977, stage model, design origin of GX-1)" according to the list of Yamaha products on Wikipedia.

"Extremely rare and hard to find. There are thought to be only 12 ever made.This synth is in fantastic condition and has been very well cared for.
Originally purchased 8/1/1983 in Florida, USA.
Serial Number 5147.
Includes (2) matching TX-3 Tone Cabinets. Serial numbers 5531 and 5635.
Comes with bass pedals, matching bench, warranty card, FX-20/FX-10 owner's manual and other how to printouts and supporting documents.
Fully functional, every key, switch, button etc.
The only damage is some small tearing to the grill cloth on the tone cabinets and paint chipping off of the music stand.
This is a MASSIVE unit, especially with the tone cabinets. The keyboard itself weighs over 500 pounds. The bench has to weigh close to 80 pounds on its own.
The tone cabinets and the organ do have wheels but you will need help loading and a fairly substantial trailer. There is no way this is getting lifted over a tailgate even if it would fit.

The EX-1 has nothing in common with the GX-1 sound generation. That's a myth started by someone with an EX-1 to sell.
ReplyDeleteI thought that was another model. There's one based on FM/digital and one analog. I forget. Regardless I removed the GX1 reference from this post for now. When I have time I'll research more.
