For sale - a vintage Roland System 100M complete with the 49-Key Keyboard, 191 J Cabinet, and 5 Modules with cables. The set is in very good condition and exhibits minor cosmetic wear. All items included are fully operational and function as intended.
The 191 J is a uniquely designed patchbay cabinet that provides the necessary 8-pin DIN power connectors and internal CV/gate connections between the modules. This 191 J is in good condition and complete working order. The unit exhibits cosmetic wear due to aging and use - it does not include any cables for the keyboard or modules.
The keyboard offers a bender, controls for tuning and portamento, three position transpose switch, portamento on/off switch, mini-jack and standard phono jacks for control voltage, gate, trigger and bender, and the 6 PIN DIN plug.
The Roland 140 is a dual envelope and an LFO module design to be incorporated with Roland's contribution to professional analog modular synthesis, The System 100m. This module the minimum basic elements to provide a single synthesizer voice in The 100m.
The 150 is a versatile module that provides full ring modulation and sample & hold facilities, white and pink noise generation, and an LFO (the same as featured in the 140 module). The 150 is great for random sequences or controlling the VCF cut‑off frequency while synced to the 182 sequencer module, and the Ring Modulator is the obvious choice for making a racket.
The Roland 130 is a two independent VCA module design in one packed to be incorporated with Roland's contribution to professional analog modular synthesis, The System 100m. The module consists of two independent VCO's in one package with expanded features. Each of the modules VCA's features a selector switch linear or exponential response. This expands the range of the 110s modules VCA.
The Roland 121 is a dual filter module design to be incorporated with Roland's contribution to professional analog modular synthesis, The System 100m. This unit consists of two VCF's, each VCF includes the added feature of a built-in foxed high pass filter with a switch for turning the high pass functio off or selecting one of three cutoff points. Each VCF also includes three audio and three control inputs, and LED's for following signal flow. The green LED's light when a signal appears at the outputs, the red LED's light for overdrive (distort) condition.
The 110 module contains all the elements of a single synth voice. The audio signal paths from the VCO to VCF to VCA are all made internally, as are the keyboard and EG inputs to the VCF and VCA. These connections can be overridden by inserting a jack into the relevant socket."
