"A standard problem like 90% SX series 210/240 Kawaii, the battery leaked and corroded part of the board.

The synthesizer turns on but there is no sound.

The synthesizer does not react to reinstalling *the sound* at the cassette input, no message appears, not about an *error*, not about a successful installation"

  1. If the motherboard has to be replaced, or, by some miracle of genius repaired, no one is going to pay $1,100 to find out. Neither of the options stands a snowball's chance of being exercised.

Technically, though, I have read and watched information about chemically repairing damaged traces, basically reversing the damage, but it is akin to performing brain surgery plus cancer treatment, or maybe brain cancer treatment by rebuilding the brain a neuron at a time. Again, no one is going to pay full price (of a fully functional keyboard) for the privilege of facing all that work.
