Korg Delta from 1979
video upload by Bata
"This is a quick demo video of some of the sounds of the Korg Delta. I'm using an external LFO on the filter. Effects used were UAD reverbs and Brainworx bx_delay 2500 for delay. This Delta has never been serviced so many of the components could need replacing and this can affect the sound.
The Delta was my first analog synth and where I learned a lot of my synthesizer basics such as how to use envelopes, trigger conversion, CV modulation, and additive synthesis. It's what's known as a paraphonic synthesizer which means it can play all notes simultaneously but they share 1 filter and amplifier. The Delta has an excellent filter that has a lot of character and I've never heard another bandpass filter that sounds like it.
If you want to get an idea of how it feels to use a Delta you can download Full Bucket's Delta VST for free. It doesn't quite have the grittiness of a real Delta but is still usable for a lot of things.
